River & Pond Fishing at Springmaid Mountain
Watch excitement grow on the faces of children and adults alike at the moment of connection between fish and hook. The fishing options at Springmaid Mountain offer a challenge to all ages and abilities. If you forgot your rod and reel, ask for a loaner in the main office. Please keep in mind that supplies are limited.
Pond Fishing
Springmaid Mountain boasts five ponds stocked with trout, catfish, bluegill and bass. Bring your gear and bait. No fishing license is required for pond fishing. Guests not staying on property must purchase a 24-hour fishing pass in the office or at the link below for $5.
Trout caught in our stocked ponds cost an additional $5 each.
River Fishing
With more than half a mile of riverfront property on the North Toe River, all ages and abilities find enjoyment in casting a line. Serious anglers will enjoy hooking local mountain trout.
A North Carolina fishing license is required for river fishing.
