Discover how to connect and communicate with Springmaid Mountain’s horses. In this 3-day clinic, learn how to read horse behavior to develop the confidence to halter, groom, saddle, lead, and ride. Instructors will start the day with demonstrations to show participants how to safely navigate around a horse and help provide a safe environment. Horse behavior, learning how to feel and control emotions, balance, and reactions will be taught to all participants. We will finish the session with a trail ride through Springmaid Mountain’s beautiful 400-acre property. Must have basic motor skills, ability to follow instructions, a completed waiver, and wear helmet while riding (helmets provided). Please arrive at the barn a minimum of 15 minutes before program starts to check-in.

This is a 3-day clinic. Participants are registering for all 3 days and are expected to attend the clinic in its entirety. 

Programs are rain or shine, except for severe weather. If we cancel due to severe weather, we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will not be eligible for a refund or the option to reschedule.
